Note the second button on the side, which advances the long eraser beneath the blind cap. The only marking is "RoseArt" on the clip, and my searches for that have turned up nothing even remotely like this. Searching for "two button mechanical pencil did lead to a Behance.net page of pencil designs by Artus Design which included an image of what has to have been the prototype of the pencil, but the Artus Web site doesn't show anything more about it.

How did you come to own it?

I found it listed on eBay. The seller says she acquired around 7,000 pens and pencils last year, but didn't know what that second button was for, nor anything else about the pencil.

First time I see it. I found out that RoseArt is owned by the MEGA Brands America, Inc. Their logo apparently is an updated version of the one on the clip of the pencil, the font type is similar. I didn't saw any mechanical pencils on RoseArt's web site. I saw a few in the Write Dudes brand (also part of the group). They have a customer service, maybe they could help. www.roseart.com/R.

Not important enough to bother, really. :-)
